Of course as usual too long and not fitted to my liking.....
So LittleWomenRock-hack!
Instead of cutting off the bottom to fit. We elected to take out excess length at the waist line followed up with a modest hem at the bottom to keep the integrity of the flattering A-line silhouette.
And excess width from the back with the center dart method.........
Matching sash was also way too long. So instead of cutting off ends which would take away from the beauty of the black piping around the sash and coat. We left the length and used it to our advantage by creating a flirty bow the back like so..............!
Now that all the alterations have been completed; (Used the help of my seamstress friend this time, Toshi Tailoring to insure a custom professional fit!)
Sported my completed project back to the department store for great lighting picks for off the rack comparison πππ½π Love! Love!
My go-to jeans by Blue Spice dark denim, 72% cotton, 26% polyester and 2% spandex which gives them great flexibility yet holds it's shape. Size 0 for me. Key is get the size that best fits. Preferably high rise so that you can taper the inner thighs at the seams to contour the length of your leg. And don't forget to contour the ankles avoiding that cut-off choppy look. Instead they will appear tapered and flattering for you!ππ
After contouring alterations have been completed to the legs, you will notice that the high rise waistline is now a flattering mid-hip fit, keeping them classy but oh-so flattering!
Cobalt blue stilettos by Andres Machado, Size 3 @ www.alonai.com . Also available now at Amazon! π
